Well researched with just enough detail on Napolean's faceoff with Wellington to keep reader grounded in the period. Marvelous historical voice.

S. Stewart: Jean Hart Stewart has given me another wonderful romance to read. Meshing the fateful years while Napolean attempted to regain his emporer status with a love story between a former soldier given the job to prove a colleague as a spy and an heiress trying desperately to prove herself in this man's world. Their love is full of passion and Jean writes the scenes with titillating eroticism. I have read several of her books and I will continue to read more.
